PEOPLE I MET

THIS SERIES IS AN ONGOING PASSION PROJECT THAT CONSISTS OF PORTRAITS OF
AWARD WINNING INDIVIDUALS RELATED TO THE COMPUTER GRAPHICS INDUSTRY

They are researchers who push the boundaries of technology. They are artists who use technology to mesmerize us with their stunning art and they are directors who shape our society with their characters and stories. Some of them are academy award winners, some of them are not. But they all have one thing in common. They are unstoppably curious and passionate about their work. From bringing the Simpsons to life, inventing the HDRI, the first commercial path tracing rendering system or building the first 360° cameras that were sent to outer space.

What fascinates me most about these people is not only how smart they are and how big the impact of their work on the world of computer graphics is. I love how humble and down to earth they are, while still being extraordinarily creative. From having worked in a supermarket when they were young and being addicted to ice cream, to shooting underwater pictures of the 4th of July fireworks or building snake robots in their spare time.

With my pictures I aim to show these people as raw and honest as I perceive them.
